The expedition of this scale not only requires experience of riding skill in the difficult terrains of Himalayas but also in depth knowledge of high altitude mountains and its extreme climatic conditions at different hours of the day. He is a freelancer consultant in home furnishing industry from Bengaluru. Has done many cycling expeditions in Himalayan range and Western Ghats. His cycling expeditions started from tough terrains of Spiti Valley in 2011, Since then he has been organizing self supported cycling expeditions & tours and has travelled close to 36,000 kilometers on his mountain bike.
He is one among the few riders in india who has peddled length & breadth of Ladakh on a bicycle, and his 1200 km epic journey in one stretch in 2012 pays tribute to this fact. The recent expedition to Gurudongamar Lake (17,100ft) close to Tibet border in northern Sikkim in May 2014 made him the first & the only Solo cyclist to reach this mark on a self supported ride. His in-depth knowledge of the frozen river and its terrain has been invaluable in our planning and preparation because of his self-supported trek (as a part of this project recee) on entire Zanskar river in 2014 January. A graduate from Bangalore university, is a mountaineer who is extremely passionate about touring. He has completed his Basic & Advance Mountaineering Course from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Asia’s top mountaineering school and has great knowledge about high altitude terrains and the Himalayan mountains.
He has cycled in Himachal & ladakh and has climbed the 1st & 2nd highest motorable passes in the world. He has undertaken many self-supported cycling tours in the Western Ghats as well. He has been venturing into the Himalayas for the last 5 years and recently summited Draupadi ka Danda -II (18,800ft) in the Garhwal Himalaya.
